What to Expect
Prerequisites: Completion of a Pistol # 1 Basic Class OR familiarity with the safe operation of firearms & the fundamentals of marksmanship.
Overview: Pistol #1 Basic Class taught you how to shoot. Pistol #2 Beginner Class teaches you how to shoot well. You will learn how to shoot faster and more accurately by gaining a deeper understanding of marksmanship fundamentals. You will learn how firearm safety rules and shooting fundamentals apply to different disciplines such as competition or self-defense. We will reinforce the basics of handgun & ammunition, firearms safety & handling, and the fundamentals of shooting a handgun. Finally, you will learn how to measure your progress to maximize your performance. Pistol #2 Beginner Class has two objectives: (1) solidify students’ ability to use their firearms safely without aid and (2) generate consistent accuracy.
This class is designed to prepare students for Pistol #3.

The Pistol #2 Beginner Class will begin at 11:30 am and consist of some students who will have advanced from the Pistol #1 Basic Class being held immediately prior, along with stand-alone Pistol #2 Beginner Class students.
Gear Required:
-firearm, PPE (Eyes & Ears), and ammunition are not provided. They may be reserved in advance, first come first serve. Otherwise, range rentals are available.
- PPE, gun, magazine, 100 rd ammo
Bring: Water, non-alcoholic beverages, sun protection, folding chair, lunch and snacks. Long pants are highly recommended, no "low neck" shirts. Comfortable shoes.
Also, we recommend all students avail themselves of the FREE "Stop-the-Bleed" class, Sunday September 8, 2024 at the Alpert JCC in Long Beach 10:00 am-11:30 am. It is always beneficial to acquire such an important skill when learning to shoot... for obvious reasons.
