Pistol #1 - Basic Class

Never shot a firearm, before? It's been a decade or so since the last time you shot? Are you a bit nervous about the prospect? 

You need not fear, Bullets & Bagels has got you covered.

This entry level class will teach the basic skills necessary to begin your journey toward safe and accurate shooting.

Our friendly, patient, polite and experienced instructors will gently guide you.

All instruction will be step-by-step, learning basic skills to build a firm foundation for future advancement in the hobby.

The course is divided into a 2 hour classroom portion on Zoom and a 2 hour live fire portion on the range. Completion of the online portion is MANDATORY prior to attending the live fire portion.

The following are the contents of the course:

• Introduction to Handgun Types & Function (Online)
• Introduction to Ammunition & Malfunctions (Online)
• Firearm Handling & Safe Practices (Range)
• Marksmanship Fundamentals (Range)

The ZOOM class -- online portion --  is scheduled for Thursday September 26, 2024 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. 

A link to the schedule ZOOM class will be sent to all attendees upon close of registration.

Gear Provided:  Eyes & Ears protection, firearms and ammo.  You are welcome to bring your own firearm and ammo, however we recommend 22 cal or 9mm max. size. 

Bring:  Water, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, or lunch if taking the Pistol #2 - Beginner Class immediately afterward. Folding chair, sun protection, hat/cap and long pants highly recommended. Do not wear "low neck" shirts!

Note: Pistol #1 - Basic Class students interested in advancing their skills, may also sign up at a 50% discount for the 

Pistol #2 - Beginner Class which immediately follows the completion of the Pistol #1 - Basic Class at 11:00 am.  

Also, we recommend all students avail themselves of the FREE "Stop-the-Bleed" class, Sunday September 8, 2024 at the Alpert JCC in Long Beach 10:00 am-11:30 am. It is always beneficial to acquire such an important skill when learning to shoot... for obvious reasons.
