What to Expect
Officer Joses Walehwa Brea P.D.
Captain Joses Walehwa has dedicated over twenty years to a distinguished career in law enforcement. He is currently the Patrol Operations Division Commander at the Brea Police Department. Before joining Brea, he briefly served as a deputy sheriff in Scott County, Iowa, and later retired as a Captain from the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Notably, Captain Walehwa was born in Uganda and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1976. On a personal note, he is a father to two college-aged daughters and has been married for over 22 years.
When asked about a life philosophy, he wrote, "Put others first, master the basics, and welcome the opportunity to make mistakes...that's where you'll learn the most."
