Guest Speaker: Rabbi Shmuel Marcus

Rabbi Shmuel Marcus is the spiritual leader of Chabad in Los Alamitos and close friend of Fred Kogen. He is a singer songwriter who has performed all over the world under the name 8th Day. He also serves as the editor of Chabad's national holiday magazine. He lives in Rossmoor with his wife Bluma and five kids. 

His "DRASH", "Talmud and Triggers" examines the Talmud's insights on self-defense and the ethical implications of using firearms. Rabbi Marcus, in his signature hermeneutic fashion, will explore the balance between self-protection and the sanctity of life through relevant texts, offering perspectives on how ancient wisdom can inform current discussions about gun ownership and safety.

This event is open to current members at ALL levels of proficiency - beginner to advanced shooters, everyone at every skill level is welcome to attend.

There will be several NRA-certified instructors available for "on-demand" assistance and pointers.
